Our Passion
At Ecogivingisliving.org we use virtually no natural resources in our fundraising efforts or administrative process as we believe this would run counter to our mission. Additionally, we will never send you solicitations for donations through the mail. (But with your permission, we will ask for your help regularly via e-mail)

At Ecogivingisliving.org we help you focus on making donations for environmental issues that you care about.

Your donation goes directly to help organizations focused on these issues.

At Ecogivingisliving.org we prefer to support small, local under-funded projects that exist in every community. That said, we will also support large organizations on specific projects that match the goals of our sponsors.

Education
One may argue the extent to which we now hold the ecological well being of the Earth in our hands. Certainly, future generations will have a tremendous impact on the direction that mankind chooses in regards to global sustainability.

The goal of the EcoGivingisLiving Education Fund is to educate, inspire, and empower children to protect the Earth's environment. This fund supports worthy organizations whose primary function adheres to this principle. See this example: www.kidsforsavingearth.org/

Biodiversity
Biodiversity actually boosts ecosystem productivity where each species, no matter how small, all have an important role to play and that it is this combination that enables the ecosystem to possess the ability to prevent and recover from a variety of disasters. This is obviously useful for mankind as a larger number of species of plants means more variety of crops and a larger number of species of animals ensure that the ecosystem is naturally sustained. It is feared that human activity is causing massive extinctions. (from www.Globalissues.org)

The goal of the EcoGivingisLiving Biodiversity Fund is to identify and fund ideas and organizations that effectively craft habitat preservation and restoration solutions. See this example: www.openspacetrust.org/

Energy Conservation
Many fear that the world is quickly using up the vast but finite amount of fossil fuels. Some fear we may have already peaked in fossil fuel extraction and production. So much of the world relies on oil, for example, that if there has been a peak, or if a peak is imminent, or even if a peak is some way off, it is surely environmentally, geopolitically and economically sensible to be efficient in use and invest in alternatives. (From www.Globalissues.org) Developing and implementing new energy sources will take time and large capital investments. However, energy conservation is and will remain the simplest method to begin closing the gap on this issue.

The goal of the EcoGivingisLiving Energy Conservation Fund is to identify and fund ideas and organizations that effectively craft solutions to this issue. See this example: http://1bog.org/

Climate Change
The climate is changing. The earth is warming up, and there is now overwhelming scientific consensus that it is happening, and human- induced. With global warming on the increase and species and their habitats on the decrease, chances for ecosystems to adapt naturally are diminishing. Many have agreed that climate change may be one of the greatest threats facing the planet. (from Globalissues.org) The author Bill McKibben and many others have argued that altering this course can only be accomplished through action at the top of world governments. We agree and disagree.

The goal of the EcoGivingisLiving Climate Change Fund is to identify and fund ideas and organizations that effectively craft grass roots solutions to climate change. See this example: http://1bog.org/
